When it comes to seeing God's glory and HIS ability to
restore a broken marriage we have first hand experience.
In 1998 we moved from a marriage full of deception, selfishness
and sin to a marriage of openness, transparency and oneness.
God has a perfect plan for marriage and like us many people
try and build a marriage based of false hopes and miss
guided expectations. Most people's definition of intimacy
is closeness, we have been taught the definition of intimacy
is oneness. In order to get what we want, we often try
and be close. Oneness is when we become transparent and
both parties have a freedom to be truthful.
In the book of Genesis we learn that Adam and Eve had
an open relationship with no secrets and no prejudices.
Once they ate from the forbidden tree, they hid when
God called them. They finally answered God's call by
telling him they were hiding because they were naked.
Once we sin and we are ashamed of that sin, we hide
and cover up. Conversely, when we are transparent we
expose ourselves and seek repentance. Naked and unashamed
is where He seeks us to be.
